A Letter from Naches: Monday, July 08, 2013

Subject: Hello!

Hi there family!! This week has been one wonderful week. We have been trying to work so hard at finding new investigators and gaining member trust in this area. Missionaries in the past have really blown it and now it is up to Sister Zink and I to make sure we rekindle that missionary fire here in Naches. We have had some really wonderful lessons this week with Lisa.

We taught her all about the plan of salvation last week and had some just a really good discussion and in turn she pretty much taugh us. haha She is so ready!! I have never met anyone as ready as she is. She is just so ready to listen to the gospel and do what the Lord asks her to. She has so much faith and determination. We got to the end of the lesson and we were talking about the kingdoms of Glory and you could just see her working it through in her mind. We had an opportunity to bare testimony of the plan and how it has blessed us. I love being a missionary for that reason. I love being able to testify. Sharing with them how it makes me feel. Each time I do, it's different and each time it sinks deeper. It is just the best thing in the world! We went back again on Saturday night and since we knew that we would have to just jump a hurtle with the coffee thing we decided to teach it to her now instead of later this week. She had a hard time with it at first but she is doing so well! She came to church yesterday and she turns around and looks at us and says " I'm dying here sisters but it's okay" haha I had a hard time not laughing but she is just the funniest and best person ever. Since our lesson she hadn't had a cup of coffee. She had this plan to kind of tapper off but when she is dedicated to something she means it! We have another lesson with her tonight and we are talking all about the doctrine of Christ. It is going to be fantastic!

We met with President Ware on Saturday and he is just the kindest and sweetest man in the world!! He and Sister Ware are just so excited to be here and so excited to work hard. They talked a lot about the hastening of the work and how we needed to prepare ourselves for the hastening. That really sunk in. We think sometimes that is it is all about everyone else that needs to step it up but what are we doing to step it up. He talked a lot about being cheerful. He is one of the most cheerful people I have ever met! I am just so excited to work with the two of the. Well my dear family, I love you all a lot and hope that your week goes well. I know that this is God's true church on the earth day. I know that he hears us and answers our prayers.

Love you all!!

Sister Mecham
